Education Policy Studies and Leadership: The educational policy studies and leadership section cherishes a strong academic tradition of integrating theory and practice: On the one hand, it engages in the research of major education policies concerning the world and national strategies. On the other hand, it gives response to local conditions, carries out university action research for the purpose of improving school administration and leadership, and outputs leadership talents with love for education and capability to face future challenges to all kinds of educational causes at all levels. It has a strong teaching team. All teachers have an interdisciplinary background and overseas learning and work experience and their research covers theories of educational development, pedagogical economics, educational sociology, school administration, strategies and leadership, and so on. The teams in the fields of higher engineering education and degree and postgraduate education enjoy great reputation in domestic and foreign academic circles and serve as quasi think tanks of the State.
