个人简介 Introduction

石中英，清华大学教育研究院院长、教授、北京明远教育书院理事长等。主要研究领域为教育基本理论与教育哲学、基础教育、教育改革、高等教育哲学等。承担国家哲学社会科学基金教育学重大课题和多项教育部课题，出版《教育学的文化性格》、《知识转型与教育改革》、《教育哲学》、《教育哲学的责任与追求》、《穿越教育概念的丛林》等专著，主编《杜威教育哲学思想研究》、《黄济教育思想研究》、《新中国教育学家肖像》等著作，翻译《教育的哲学基础》、《人类的潜能》等，发表学术论文200多篇。

Professor Shi Zhongying is dean of Institute of Education at Tsinghua University as well as president of the council of Beijing Mingyuan Institute of Education. His research interests span a wide range, including basic education, educational philosophy, educational reform, and philosophy of higher education. He has led many important research projects funded by Ministry of Education and National Social Science Fund of China,. His academic contributions are extensive, including over 200 articles and monographs such as The Cultural Characteristics of Pedagogy, Transformation of Knowledge and Educational Reform, Philosophy of Education, The Responsibility and Pursuit of Philosophy of Education and Through the Jungle of Concepts in Education. He is also the chief editor of Research on John Dewey’s Educational Philosophy, Educational thoughts of Huang Ji and Portraits of Chinese Educationists after 1949 as well as the translator of Philosophical Foundations of Education and Of Human Potential.

研究领域Academic areas

1. 教育基本理论，包括教育性质、教育价值、教育目的、教育活力、教师专业发展等教育基本理论问题。

Foundations of education, including the essence, values, aims, vitality of education as well as  professional development of teachers, etc.

2. 教育哲学，重点关注价值教育哲学，包括价值教育的哲学基础、同情心与价值观教育、青少年价值观教育、社会主义核心价值观教育以及校长的价值领导力等问题。

Philosophy of education. The main focus is on philosophical inquiry into values education, including the philosophical foundations of values education, sympathy and values education, values education for adolescents, socialism core values education, and values leadership for school headmasters, etc.

3. 教育改革，包括教育强国建设、教育高质量发展、教育改革的知识基础等方面开展研究，以及教育改革的本体论、认识论、价值论等假设。

Education reform. The main focus is on analyzing the basic assumptions and knowledge on reform strategies (such as strengthening education and high-quality educational development) from the perspective of ontology, epistemology and axiology, etc.

4. 高等教育哲学领域主要讨论高等教育的哲学基础，分析高等教育改革中通识教育与专业教育、大众化与精英化、国际化与本土化、学科自主与学科融合等等问题。

Philosophy of higher education, including the philosophical foundations of higher education and problems in the educational reform of higher education, including general education and professional education, equity and equality, justice and elitism, internalization and localization, autonomy and democracy, etc.
