IOE is global. IOE partners with individuals, institutions, nations and international organisations. Faculty engage with universities and organizations in cooperative studies, lectures, international conferences, and case-study teaching. IOE hosts global scholars, serves as a gateway to China and the world, and hosts and builds influential platforms and systems.

IOE has academic partnerships with more than 200 universities, including Beijing Normal University, Harvard University, National Taiwan University, Oxford University, Peking University, University of Hong Kong, University of Tokyo, and University of Toronto. It invites world-renowned scholars to lecture and conduct cooperative studies, and has partnerships with many middle schools.
