Call for Papers: Tsinghua Higher Education Forum 2024

The 3rd Tsinghua Higher Education Forum delves into the cutting-edge realm of artificial intelligence’s transformative influence on higher education under the theme: “Boundaries of Possibility: Empowering Higher Education with Artificial Intelligence”. Join us for an intellectual journey on the controversial yet constructive topic in Beijing from August 30-31, 2024.

Hosted by Tsinghua University and orchestrated by the Tsinghua University Institute of Education, this event will gather global professionals and scholars from academia, policy, and industry for an illuminating dialogue on the future of higher education amidst the AI revolution.

Participants will be at the forefront of groundbreaking research and discourse as we unravel the multifaceted dimensions of AI’s impact on higher education. Gain insights into the educational theories and practices, engage in spirited discussions on education theories the opportunities and challenges brought by AI, and chart the course for future trends and strategies in face of the systematic changes in higher education, both locally and globally.

Whether you are a seasoned academic or a budding scholar, seize the opportunity to contribute your insights. Submit your full paper by May 15, and mark your calendars for August 30, when minds will converge to explore the frontiers of possibilities.

I. Forum tracks

The organizing committee has identified suggested areas of focus for 2024. Respected scholars in relevant fields are invited to conduct double-blind peer reviews of submitted papers. Papers that demonstrate insightful viewpoints, profound theories, innovative paradigms, and sound methods in these areas will receive the highest priority in the selection process.

Under the main theme, possible submission tracks include but not limited to:

Higher education in the AI era: Values, purposes, and ethics

AI and higher education governance

AI-empowered university curriculum, teaching, and assessment

AI and talent cultivation in higher education

II. Paper Requirements

Craft your contributions in alignment with academic rigor:

Submitted paper should be academic papers not previously published.

The presenter should be the primary author of the paper.

For Chinese submissions, adhere to the Tsinghua University Education Research journal template.

For English submissions, follow the Sage Publication “Manuscript Submission Guidelines” available at:

https://uk.sagepub.com/en-gb/asi/manuscript-submission-guidelines

Submitted paper should aim for a word limit of 8,000 (Chinese) or 10,000 (English).
