Introduction

LIU Huiqin, research professor and doctoral supervisor, secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Education in Tsinghua University, executive director of Tsinghua China-Africa Leadership Development Institute, deputy director of Academic Committee of the Association of Chinese Graduate Education, director of Graduate Education Professional Committee, secretary-general of Higher Education Management Branch in Chinese Association of Higher Education, deputy director of editorial Committee of "Academic Degrees and Graduate Education" and Journal of Graduate Education.

LIU Huiqin, awarded abachelor degree of Engineering, Master degree of Education, and Doctor degree of Management in Tsinghua University and was a visiting scholar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Used to work in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Graduate School of Tsinghua University.

Research fields include education economy and management, human resource development and management. I am distinctive in graduate education, engineering education and education policy research. I have won two national education and teaching achievement awards, such as, won the special prize of national education and teaching achievement in 2005 for "Innovation and Practice of Engineering Master Education Mechanism".

Research Fields

Graduate education, Engineering education, Higher education policy and management

Graduate education.Prof. LIU mainly researches on talent selection, professional degree development, doctoral quality and discipline construction of graduate education. She is the chief editor of "China Degree and Graduate Education Development Report 2018", and participates in national policy consultation based on the research.

Engineering education.Prof. LIU mainly studies the cultivating of engineering talents at the graduate level and the cultivating model of typical engineering talents. She is the chief editor of "practice and innovation of Engineering postgraduate education", and puts forward policy suggestions on the establishment of professional degrees such as engineering doctor and engineering management.

Higher education policy and management.Prof. LIU mainly carries out strategic planning and Policy Research for the demand of economic and social development for high-level talents, such as "professional degree development plan 2020-2025" and "the 14th five year plan" education reform and development strategy, so as to provide policy advice for national education development.
